Individual Threshold

Overview

The detection threshold for an individual where an odour elicits a physiological response. Individual thresholds will vary from person to person as their ability to perceive certain smells are different. For example, an individual who is suffering from hyposmia will have a higher threshold than a panellist that has a certain quality of odour detecting capabilities.
