Scentroid UrbanScanner US20​

Street-Level Intelligence at City Scale

UrbanScanner US20 transformed vehicles into mobile sensing platforms capable of building high-resolution environmental intelligence across the Greater Toronto Area. Combining LiDAR mapping, geospatial analytics, and multi-pollutant sensing, the platform generated street-level digital representations of urban environments while continuously monitoring air quality and infrastructure conditions. The resulting datasets enabled municipalities and researchers to better understand pollution sources, traffic patterns, and environmental health through real-time spatial analysis.

Working with Dubai Municipality, SIMS3 provided the foundation for a city-scale digital twin capable of integrating distributed sensor networks into a unified operational picture. Environmental conditions, infrastructure performance, and emerging threats were transformed into actionable intelligence within a single platform. Through targeted alerts, anomaly detection, and real-time analytics, the system enabled decision-makers to identify concerns early and respond with precision across one of the world’s most advanced smart cities.
