Connections between panellist stations and the central control pyramid allow the SS400 Six Station Portable Olfactometer to be set up to fit a table within any room layout. Full automation and data processing using Scentroid’s Laboratory Information Management software allows any laboratory to be easily certified to ISO17025.

Mobile Air Supplier
An accompanying Scentroid Mobile Air Supply unit is designed to provide compressed air supply for a variety of Scentroid products out in the field. This is ideal due to the fact that it produces no oil in the airflow, and therefore can be used as an independent air supply when the oil in the airflow is often an issue.
Compressed air from the tank is monitored from the pressure meter, and if it rises more than 8 bar (approximately 116 psi) the tank will automatically cut off the pressure control switch. When the pressure inside the tank lowers to 6 bars (approximately 87 psi) then the power is turned back on.
How To Use
Prepare to Test
Connect the odour sample bag to the SS400 six-station portable olfactometer. Using the admin tablet, start a new test
Setup Your Tablet
Scan the unique barcode on the sample and select the number of panelists participating and the test type (yes/no, binary, or hedonic tone)
Panelist's Assessment
The system will conduct purging and assessments automatically. The panelist will be instructed to sniff and input their response using their dedicated tablets
Instant Result
The system will log and send all results wirelessly to Scentroid’s laboratory management software
Compressed Air
Compressed air is also passed through a cooling system to prevent overheating after prolonged use. Fans are used on either side of the container to ensure the passage of air, allowing the air supply to work while the lid is closed. A final gauge is used to regulate the airflow being used and is ideally set at 80 psi. The final step is to attach the product to the outlet and turn on the main switch.
