The SM100i app is a powerful mobile application designed to work seamlessly with the Scentroid SM100i Portable Olfactometer. This app provides a user-friendly interface that allows operators to easily control the SM100i device, record data, and generate real-time reports on odour intensity and concentration. With this mobile app, you can perform various olfactometry tests following the EN13725:2022 test procedures.
1. Download and install app via Google Play Store
2. Create a new project and connect SM100i device via Bluetooth
3. Upload calibration data to your app via scanning the QR code provided by Scentroid
4. Performing tests include Yes/No Test, Hedonic Test, Manual Test
5. Share or store your test results. Access to individual project details via map option
This test allows each examiner to sniff from the SM100i and determine if an odor is detected within a specified time interval. It further calculates the lowest detection threshold, also known as 1 odour unit.
At the beginning of the testing, customize the Prep Time, Sniff Time and Purge Time on the app, then select user and steps to start the test. During the testing, user will answer Yes or No based on user can detect any odor. The test will repeat until no remaining steps on the plate.
This test performs the yes/no method but also includes the subjective measurement of hedonic tone (pleasantness or unpleasantness) or the perceived odour intensity.

During the testing, user will rate the smell on a scale based on the offensiveness (hedonic tone) of the smell. The test will repeat until no remaining steps on the plate.
This test runs the SM100i continuously until the user stops it, allowing you to smell the air with a specified plate setting.
The Manual Test Mode allows you to conduct an unlimited test of ambient air, depending on the remaining supply of zero air. This mode provides flexibility for continuous testing without a set time limit.
