An easily mountable weatherproof device installed on the roof of a vehicle collects data. Sophisticated AI-based algorithms process then process the data in order to extract key information. At any location within the sampling environment, air quality values can now be correlated.

Deep learning algorithms can now be used to generate geospatial predictions of urban pollution. This results in the system providing pollution values for locations that the Urban Scanner has yet to sample!
