Aluminum Detection

Detect airborne aluminum with accurate measurement and analysis

What is

Aluminum

Al

Aluminum is a chemical element with the symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a soft, silvery-white metal with a low density, which makes it one of the lightest metals. Aluminum conducts electricity and heat well. Furthermore, aluminum naturally forms a thin oxide layer on its surface, which protects it from further corrosion and makes it highly resistant to rust and degradation in many environments. Moreover, aluminum is 100% recyclable and retains its properties after recycling. In fact, the recycling process uses only about 5% of the energy required to produce new aluminum from bauxite, making aluminum one of the most recycled materials globally.

Releasing Airborne Aluminum In

Industry & Manufactory

Aerospace & Transportation
The aerospace industry widely uses aluminum to build aircraft, spacecraft, and other vehicles due to its low density and high strength-to-weight ratio.
Packaging
The production of packaging materials commonly uses aluminum, especially in the form of aluminum foil and cans. It is lightweight, resistant to corrosion, and helps maintain the quality of food and beverages.
Construction
People use aluminum in building materials, such as window frames, doors, roofing, and siding. Its resistance to corrosion makes it ideal for outdoor and structural uses.
Military & Defense
Due to its strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance, the military uses aluminum to manufacture vehicles, weapons, and protective equipment.

X-ray Fluorescence (XRF)

Our Unique & Cutting-edge Technology

Scentroid’s X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) sensor helps you detect airborne aluminum precisely and receive rapid results. X-ray Fluorescence technology is a proven analytical technique used to identify and quantify the elemental composition of materials. By measuring the intensity and energy of the emitted X-rays, analysts can determine the elemental composition and concentration of the elements present in the sample.

X-ray Excitation

High-energy X-rays are directed at the material

Electron Displacement

The X-rays knock out inner electrons from the atoms in the material.

Energy Emission

The atom becomes unstable, and outer electrons jump to fill the gaps, emitting energy in the form of X-ray fluorescence.

Element Identification

The emitted X-rays have unique energies depending on the element, allowing the instrument to detect and identify the elements present.

Airborne Lead Analyzer

Scentroid Lead Analyzer features unparalleled accuracy in detecting airborne lead and aluminum in ambient air precisely and effectively.

Airborne Metal Analyzer

Scentroid Metal Analyzer can accurately detect airborne aluminum and up to 30 other heavy metals of your choice, other light metals can also be detected as per request.
