Job description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Consulting Services Manager to lead our consulting operations in the environmental monitoring sector. This role combines strategic leadership, project management, and technical expertise to ensure our clients receive world-class solutions tailored to their regulatory and operational needs. The successful candidate will manage client relationships, guide internal teams, and play a key role in expanding the company’s presence in Canada and abroad.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and evaluate consulting projects and services, ensuring alignment with client goals and regulatory requirements.
- Assess client requirements and customize solutions using advanced odor and air quality monitoring systems, including gas analyzers, olfactometry devices, and continuous monitoring platforms.
- Direct and advise internal teams—including quality control, manufacturing, and technical staff—on project execution, product delivery, and specialized odor testing protocols.
- Provide technical expertise to sales and marketing teams, including support in proposal development, client acquisition, and corporate growth initiatives. Proficiency in graphic design and video work to support marketing and client communications is considered a strong asset.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, client meetings, and regulatory discussions, including assisting in the facilitation of workshops and presentations on odor monitoring and compliance strategies.
- Manage international client relationships, with a strong preference for experience supporting clients in Latin America.
- Lead and support staff through hiring, training, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
- Deliver training sessions and knowledge-transfer workshops for clients and project teams, including odor panelist training and equipment calibration workshops.
- Administer budgets, contracts, and project schedules to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and action plans to drive service quality and efficiency.
- Support staff in resolving administrative, technical, or project-related challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, environmental studies, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in consulting, project management, or business services, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
- Strong background in odor monitoring, equipment calibration oversight, or environmental compliance consulting is a significant asset.
- Proven ability to manage external client relationships, particularly in Latin America.
- Experience hiring, training, and mentoring staff.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience delivering training sessions, workshops, or client presentations.
- Graphic design and video editing proficiency is an asset.
